Hico Science Club
Picture
Schreiber Foods in Stephenville, Texas has been our primary financial sponsor since 2010.  It is because of Schreiber Foods that we can program robots.  It is because of Schreiber Foods that we can wear the coolest Science Club T-Shirts in Hico.

In 2017, Max Gentner donated money to purchase AA batteries for our robot day.  Thank you Max!

In 2018, Max Gentner donated money to help with our multi-meter day!

James Samola and the South Loop Pawn and Hobby Shop have sponsored the Hico Science Club since 2010.  Each year, James and his friends fly remote control airplanes for the club.  James also supplies each student with a rocket to build and launch.

Lauren Bales donated money to help the rocket team buy headphones.  Each member got to design and 3D print their own headphones.  Thank you Lauren!

Since 2011, George Bales has allowed us to use his incredible "Field of Dreams" airfield for our rocket launch competition.  It is always a great day filled with rockets, airplanes, Tarleton State University and pizza.

Since 2013, the Tarleton State University Aeronautics team has worked with us on our Rocket Day.  Each year, they bring out their competition rocket and let a Hico 5th grader perform the launch.

We also learn about the complex competions they have at
NASA's University Launch Initiative.  In 2014, they performed a similar trial as they did on their NASA competition day.

Thank you to Lee Cole and Cole Hardware and General Store.  Lee thinks so much about the Hico Science Club that he sponsors our multi-meter day.  Because of Lee, each student learns about electricity with a multi-meter.  They learn about voltage, resistance and amperage.  Because of Lee, each student gets to take home and keep their multi-meter.
